Rachman Nagwere

Rachman Nagwere (Rachman Uganda)), a 32 singer and rapper and freelance actor, mostly doing background work. Rachman is a dad of one, his daughter's name is Akimi Nagwere. He grew up a very spiritual person and very compassionate and loves helping and others and doing works of Tikkkun Olam(mending the world). He is a member of the Abayudaya community in Uganda, and now lives in Seattle Washington. Rachman converted to and practices Judaism since 2008. He has a great voice and passion for music. Rachman writes songs based on a true story of his life, and current world situation. He sings in English, Hebrew, Swahili and other African dialects. His music is sometimes from liturgical text. Rachman served as a cantor for sometime in his community. . He later joined youth leadership in 2009 as an ethics minister and closed as president in 2014. Together with the other youths Rachman formed Abayudaya Youth Music Artist group, and have together made a couple of good songs. These songs can be found on YouTube, Itunes and Spotify; the songs include Shalom Mirembe, Mulembe and many others. He has performed a number of times and events like Purim, Bar miztvahs, conventions, camps and fundraisers. He has run a few fundraisers to help in times of disaster and emergencies in Uganda, helping some needy people in my community and surrounding. He performs with a variety of musicians ranging from Klezmer, middle eastern, American and African traditional. Rachman also runs a traditional music & dance group back home in Uganda, a group of over thirty boys and girls from needy families. The group has kids from all the religious backgrounds. Hope Cultural Troupe is the name of the group. They have performed together at religious and secular events.
