Lomir Tantsn Yiddish Dances

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this Yiddish Dance workshop we will cover traditional bulgars, freylekhs and khosidls learning some step patterns and enjoying winding lines and circles. We will also focus on the expressive styling of these dances: the way we hold our bodies and the way we use gestures to express feelings or communicate with others, is what makes them truly Yiddish.
The sheer collective vibrations, stomps, whirls, smiles and gestures will make you wonder what keeps us from dancing in community, much more often.
