Angel Cards - a New Tradition for Your Friday Night Table

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this hands-on workshop we’ll each begin to create a deck of cards illustrating and offering the blessing of a particular angel, beyond the malachei ha-shalom – the angels of peace we welcome to our Friday night table: an angel of joy, an angel of perseverance, an angel of charity, etc. From these cards that we prepare, our Shabbos guests can choose a guiding angel for the coming week, and a blessing that we offer as hosts and, as ritualists, further beautifying our Friday evening practice. (As we work, we’ll learn a variety of melodies for the hymn Shalom Aleichem.)
